STEP
1 Measure The Overall Length Of Your Garage Door Spring--UNWOUND.Take all your measurements from the broken spring. Measure the spring only from coil to coil. Do not include the winding and stationary ends.
STEP
2 Measure the Inside Diameter Of Your Garage Door Spring It will be one of the following:
1
3/4"
2"
2
1/4" Raynor Garage Door Springs only
Alternate Method
Look for a number imprinted on the winding end(shown above).
1.75=1 3/4" I.D. 2.00=2" I.D.
If it says Raynor it is a 2 1/4" I.D.

we highly recommend that you replace both springs.

match the spring chart above, please call for price.
Avoid Having to Repeat The Replacement Process
If your door cycles (opens & Closes) more than 3 times a day, we recommend our High Cycle Option. An inexpensive upgrade that will double the spring cycle life from 10,000 up to 20,000 cycles.
What is a High Cycle Spring?
A high cycle spring is a re-engineered spring base on your existing spring measurements(See Steps 1 thru 4) creating a DIMENSIONALLY larger spring. A High Cycle spring has the same IPPT(Inch Pounds Per Turn) or torque as the existing spring but has 50% less stress when fully wound, lasting 2X longer. The installation and the number of turns are the same as the existing spring.
